Economical genetic test may assess chances of heart attack

An economical genetic test could identify otherwise healthy people who may be at a higher heart attack risk, according to findings published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. The Genomic Risk Score searches for particular gene patterns that signal increased risk, and researchers say testing could be done with a mouth swab, though the study used blood samples.
