American Airlines Cargo posted a 9.7% increase in volume between the second quarters of 2017 and 2018, and a 19.4% increase in cargo revenue. Increased shipments of blood, pharmaceuticals, fruit and flowers contributed to that growth, the company said, as well as one-time projects such as moving engine and auto accessories from Japan and transporting artwork from Madrid to the San Antonio Museum of Art.
