Teens spent an average of 39 minutes per day during July on homework or classwork, an increase from 22 minutes a decade ago, and they also spent 18 more minutes each day on sports or other physical activities, according to a Pew Research Center analysis. Screen time during the summer decreased by an average of seven minutes, compared with a decade ago.
