Dungeons & Dragons becomes teaching tool in class

Educators can tap students' interest in Dungeons & Dragons to help teach reading, says Ian Slater, a York University professor who runs Dungeons & Dragons campaigns for schools and events. Kade Wells, a Texas teacher who uses the game in literacy lessons, says it is effective because the "success (and power) of their character is directly linked to what they can find in a book."
