Seven in 10 educators report that history textbooks reflect the experiences of people of color "a lot" or to "some extent," according to a survey of 1,150 teachers, principals and district leaders by the EdWeek Research Center. Jessica Lifshitz, a fifth-grade teacher, said she was surprised by the findings and reports that she and other teachers are considering how they can work to combat racism.
