Redstone: ViacomCBS doesn't need mergers to be competitive

ViacomCBS, the ultimate result of a deal between CBS and Viacom this summer, will produce enough quality content to attract viewers and stay competitive with larger rivals like Disney, Netflix and WarnerMedia, says National Amusements president Shari Redstone. She also denies plans to launch a conservative news network to face off against Fox News, claiming that First, a right-leaning channel on Viacom's Pluto, was planned before the Viacom purchase.
