The Broadband Access Coalition and the Wireless Internet Service Provider Association have asked the Federal Communications Commission to allow ISPs to share usage of the 3.7-4.2 gigahertz spectrum with existing licensees, enabling gigabit-class fixed wireless service. "We think this is the right band to get something going to help regional ISPs service their local areas," said Jaime Fink of Mimosa Networks.
