How to battle decision fatigue

Reduce decision fatigue during performance reviews by talking with employees about their progress throughout the year and holding group calibration sessions to examine employees' potential, writes Lauren Pytel, a human capital management researcher for SAP SuccessFactors. "Many companies put managers at risk of decision fatigue by creating performance management, compensation, staffing and development processes that require evaluating multiple people on multiple factors in a short period of time," she writes.
