Talk to employees about race, justice and other issues resulting from recent protests and the pandemic by making employee assistance programs easily available, bringing in therapists and other professionals, and discussing how your organization can create change, says Serilda Summers-Mcgee, chief HR officer at Workplace Change. "People want to hear what [you're] doing to do to stop this from being the existence of our black brothers and sisters," she says.
