HR leaders can reduce employee stress and personal stress by encouraging people to take breaks, designating Zoom-free days, having shorter meetings and taking time to think before making decisions, HR consultants say. "I think that making it OK to take care of yourself and not feel a need to be locked into a computer 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. is extremely important," says Corinne Mahaffey, HR business operations specialist at Eliassen Group.
