Consumers seeking new coffee drink flavors, formats

The pandemic-related increase in at-home coffee consumption has spurred an uptick in consumer demand for ready-to-drink specialty coffees, such as nitro cold brews and functional varieties, according to several ingredient and flavor suppliers. Consumers are also seeking a wider variety in coffee drink flavors, with fruit-based pairings expected to increase, said Finlays Americas coffee marketing manager Stephanie Thornton and Synergy Flavors applications manager Angie Lantman.
