The Environmental Protection Agency and the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy plan to clean up groundwater contaminated by green goo in Madison Heights by injecting chemicals into the soil to treat the water as it flows through the ground. The state agency will take control of the project later this year and will likely have to replace the chemicals every few years.
