Shell has agreed to sell its 90,000-barrel-per-day refinery in Mobile, Ala., and associated logistical infrastructure, including the Blakeley Island Terminal, to Houston-based refiner Vertex Energy for $75 million in cash plus $65 million to $85 million for the facility's inventory. "The sale of the Mobile refinery shows that we are making good progress delivering on our manufacturing strategy," said Shell Executive Vice President for Manufacturing Robin Mooldijk.
