A collaboration between Ocenic Resins and Spain's Jaume I University and the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology has resulted in the development of bioplastic drinking straws made from polyhydroxyalkanoate, which is produced by bacteria. The product could become commercially available in two months, according to Ocenic.
