Key demand drivers remain for oil in 2019, and the build-out of industry infrastructure in the US is providing a catalyst for US shale producers, says Vikas Halan, senior vice president at Moody's Investors Service. "Let us not forget the shale has been the most flexible production because the leap time is very low and the shale oil has been improving in efficiency and so it is kind of a moving target," he says.
