The US market for plastic film is expected to grow at a compound annual rate of 1.4% from 2019 through 2024, despite short-term disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic, says the Freedonia Group. The pandemic has also created some short-term opportunities for stretch and shrink film used in hygiene products, e-commerce packaging and other applications.
