Chile, Australia may be headed for a lithium boom

Nearly 75% of the world's raw lithium supplies come from Chile and Australia, with the market expected to be valued at $20 billion by 2025 as demand for battery cells grows. Sebastian Sichel of Chile's Corfo agency says the nation wants to build out the industry, which includes a $690 million processing plant under development by Albemarle.
