A scientist from the Philippines has developed a bioplastic made from mango peels and seaweed that has greater flexibility and is more robust than conventional plastic, while also having regular plastic's mechanical strength. The idea of using mango peels came from the fact that the Philippines is a leading exporter of the fruit.
