Tropical Storm Barry forced operators in the US Gulf of Mexico to curtail roughly 73%, or 1.38 million barrels, of daily oil output and 62% of natural gas production, the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement said Sunday. Evacuations were put in place for 283 of the region's 669 manned platforms.
