University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health scientists have developed an immunotherapy treatment to "kick and kill" HIV in the immune system of infected patients, based on details reported in the journal EBioMedicine. The investigators studied cytomegalovirus and created the immunotherapy to target HIV and CMV-specific T helper cells.
