The Institute of Public Health of Chile has authorized the start of clinical trials to evaluate the coronavirus vaccine candidates of Johnson & Johnson and Sinovac that will be conducted at two Chilean universities. Chile has also inked agreements with two laboratories and the COVAX global vaccine plan to gain access "to at least 34.5 million doses of vaccines once they are approved by the corresponding agencies," according to Health Minister Enrique Paris.
