Cold central plant recycling and recycled materials, including reclaimed asphalt and concrete, were used in a widening of Interstate 64 in Virginia. "This was probably the largest recycling project that [the Virginia Department of Transportation] had undertaken at this time," says Craig Rayfield, quality control manager for paving at contractor Allan Myers.
