Chevron Phillips Chemical used chemical recycling technology to produce circular polyethylene at a commercial scale in Baytown, Texas, this week, making it the first company in the US to do so. "The successful production run marks a huge step for CPChem on our path to being a world leader in producing circular polymers," says executive Jim Becker, whose company has also set a goal to produce a billion pounds of the material by the end of the decade.
