Four new catalysts for producing organic biowaste-derived biofuels were synthesized with ruthenium nanoparticles by a chemist from the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. The nanocatalysts were found to support more intensive and sustained reactions on gamma-valerolactone than the compounds available in the market.
