A CDC study of 1,900 health care workers from 25 states found that the Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna two-dose vaccines yielded a 94% reduction in symptomatic illness among those who were fully vaccinated and 82% among those who were partially vaccinated. "This study, added to the many studies that preceded it, was pivotal to CDC changing its recommendations for those who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19," said CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky.
