A bill under consideration in the House of Representatives that would apply a hazardous label to all per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances within one year isn't feasible, says Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Andrew Wheeler. The EPA doesn't have "adequate scientific data" on some substances, plus it would also apply to some PFAS the EPA has found to be safe, he says.
