Global oil demand is expected to decline as chemical recycling technologies mature and result in increased access to recycled fuel from plastic. Advanced recycling methods could create 29,000 naphtha barrels per day and 59,000 clean diesel bpd in the US by using just 25% of the plastic headed to landfills, says the American Chemistry Council.
