Local radio stations can and should be the lifeblood of their communities, and even small broadcasting teams can get involved and offer help where it's needed, says KCVM-FM chief Jim Coloff, whose station has received its fifth Crystal Award from the National Association of Broadcasters. Coloff says his team plans to make greater use of its online presence, videos and social media to continue connecting with the local community going forward.
