E.W. Scripps Co. has admitted that it failed to properly monitor lighting on 10 tower antennas, and accepted a $1.13 million fine from the Federal Communications Commission. The towers were part of Scripps' purchase of Cordillera Communications, which took place two years ago, and were not sufficiently monitored then.
