Microsoft is proposing the use of untapped channels between TV broadcasts, or super Wi-Fi, to counter the problem of limited broadband internet access in rural areas. National Association of Broadcasters spokesman Dennis Wharton voiced support for the initiative but said broadcasters are "skeptical whether Microsoft can deliver that service without significant interference and disruption to local television signals in smaller markets."
