Rep. John Dingell, whose 1955-2015 political career made him the longest-serving House member, died Thursday at 92. "Broadcasters were honored to call Chairman Dingell a friend, and we will never forget his tenacity, good humor and belief in the benefits of free and local radio and television," said Gordon Smith, president of the National Association of Broadcasters.
