Carriage election notices can now be transmitted via email, after a Wednesday vote by the Federal Communications Commission. "Allowing for a more limited set of carriage notices to be sent electronically rather than by outdated and expensive certified mail represents a smart approach to streamlining bureaucracy that has outlived its usefulness," says Zamir Ahmed, media relations vice president of the National Association of Broadcasters.
