American Media has decided to sell the National Enquirer and two other publications to Hudson News CEO James Cohen, who will pay $100 million. Those familiar with the deal say that the decision came because Anthony Melchiorre, owner of the controlling firm, became skeptical about the tabloid's reporting tactics.
