A cloud-based drug-dispensing device the size of a coaster can track medication from the pharmacy to the time a person takes the drug, using beeps, buzzes and texts sent to caregivers and physicians as reminders. The device, known as ReX, is a Class I medical device intended for a very specific treatment and given to a patient through a hospital or specialty pharmacy.
