The Families First Coronavirus Response Act, which became law last week, requires US companies with 499 or fewer employees to pay sick pay to employees affected by the coronavirus. Starting April 2, the law will cover employees who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 themselves or caring for children or others in quarantine.
