Marriott International's purchase of Starwood three years ago has provided the impetus for refreshing the W Hotels brand, which is more than two decades old, by keying in on a welcoming design that will work well internationally. "The young luxury lifestyle consumer has an impact on design, and they were not really a consideration 10 years ago," says W Hotels Global Brand Leader Anthony Ingham.
