Reps. Norma Torres, D-Calif., and Brian Fitzpatrick, R-Pa., along with 49 co-sponsors, have reintroduced the 911 SAVES Act, which debuted in 2019 but did not pass. "Passing the 911 SAVES Act would give the estimated 100,000 public safety telecommunicators located in every community across America the respect and support they deserve while improving the government's data collection and analysis efforts," said National Emergency Number Association CEO Brian Fontes.
