CEOs at major US companies have expressed a level of pessimism on the economic outlook not seen in 11 years, according to a quarterly survey from Business Roundtable. An index based on the survey is at 34.3 for the second quarter, plunging 38.4 points from the reading in Q1, but the index is still more optimistic than the negative 5 reached in 2009.
