Issues with credit and consumer reporting accounted for more than 58% of last year's complaints to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, with overall complaints rising 54% to 542,300. Meanwhile, data from the Federal Trade Commission suggests pandemic-related fraud has cost some $382 million.
