Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., and Rep. Bill Pascrell, D-N.J., have introduced a measure that would eliminate preferential tax treatment given to carried interest held by some fund managers. Under the measure, carried interest would be taxed at the rate for ordinary income, rather than at the lower capital gains rate.
