Female patients with type 2 diabetes were at a 2.4 times increased likelihood of reporting neuropathic pain, compared with male patients, according to a study in BMJ Open Diabetes Research & Care. Jordanian researchers analyzed data from 239 adult diabetes patients, mean age of 56, and found that female sex was the only significant neuropathic pain predictor in type 2 diabetes.
