PPE shortage hits smaller health care providers

Small clinical practices, community health centers, homeless shelters and some smaller hospitals across the US are struggling with inadequate supplies of personal protective equipment to guard against COVID-19, and access to gloves is emerging as a particular problem. Many are relying on donations or community-led programs to meet the high demand, while others have turned to reusing equipment such as N95 masks.
