Adoption of risk-based payment models has slowed despite indications that the CMS might make more bundles and risk-based models mandatory, according to a survey of more than 500 health care executives by Numerof & Associates. Respondents cited mixed messages from the CMS, cultural norms in the health care field and uncertainty as to what models work best as barriers to adoption.
