Prediabetes patients who were overweight or obese experienced improved weight loss, eating habits and physical activity levels after undertaking a three-month lifestyle modification program, compared to those who did not undertake the program. The findings, published in the Journal of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, also showed that the benefits on weight loss were greater for prediabetes patients with higher education levels and white patients, compared with patients who had lower levels of education and black patients.
