Altered insulin signals found in T2D cells

An analysis of induced-pluripotential stem cells derived from the tissue of 16 people found hundreds of altered cellular signaling steps in the cells from people with type 2 diabetes. The findings in Cell Metabolism indicate that "insulin resistance in human type 2 diabetes isn't just a single defect," researcher Dr. Ronald Kahn said at the virtual Cardiometabolic Health Congress.
