Studies: COVID-19 lockdowns promoted unhealthful habits

A survey presented at the virtual annual meeting of The Obesity Society showed that seven out of 10 people had difficulty reaching their weight-loss goals and 61% engaged in stress-eating during the COVID-19 lockdowns earlier in the year. Another survey presented at the same event revealed that 72% of people in lockdown states binge-watched television, up from 59% who did so before the lockdown, and many snacked while binge-watching.
