A study in JAMA Network Open found that around 65% of adult meals and 80% of children's meals from restaurants in 2018 had low nutritional value, as did 44% of adult meals and 52% of children's meals from food trucks and entertainment venues. Meanwhile, only 24% of meals consumed by children from their schools were unhealthful, making schools the "single healthiest place Americans are eating," the researchers said.
