Researchers urge caution on intermittent fasting in T2D

Patients with type 2 diabetes should be cautious about doing intermittent fasting and not start the dietary intervention without physician supervision, researchers wrote in a viewpoint article published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. They said there is limited research on intermittent fasting in type 2 diabetes and cited potential safety and efficacy concerns.
