Patients who were hospitalized for acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder and who also had pulmonary hypertension had a higher risk of adverse outcomes, compared with patients who did not have PH, researchers reported at the annual CHEST meeting. Patients with PH were are higher risk for in-hospital mortality, morbidity, total hospital costs and lengths of stay.
