Study: More people dying at home due to virus fears

The Montgomery County Hospital District in Texas found that compared with the same period last year, 30% more people died at home between February and May from conditions such as heart attacks and strokes, likely because they were afraid to call 911 due to concerns about the coronavirus. Officials in Scotts Bluff County, Neb., are encouraging people to call 911, noting that dispatchers and first responders are ready to handle any situation.
